Day by Day: Diurnal Twelve

 January 6, 2013

An applicable song lyric:
“Mother knows best.”

Something making me happy:
Merci chocolate.  :D

Something I learned today:
You can get really hungry if your church ends at 4:00pm during fast Sunday. O.o

Something I need to be more thankful for:
My brother, Tait.

My 11:11 wish:
I wish I were more handsome.

Somewhere I want to be:
At the beginning of Christmas break again.

Something I’d miss if the Earth were destroyed:
My scriptures.

Highlight of the day:
Conversations with Tait, ranging on a huge variety of topics.

Some thoughts:
Today I was luckily mistaken to what our church time had changed to.  Instead of 9:00am, I was able to get a much needed sleep in and go to church at 1:00pm. ;)  I also got chocolate.  This is always a good thing.

If you haven't tried it your life has not yet experienced joy.

 January 5, 2013

An applicable song lyric:
“Te voglio bene assaie ma tanto bene sai. É una catena ormai che scioglie il sangue dint'e vene sai”

Something making me happy:
Friends.  Family.  Strangers.  People in general.

Something I learned today:
Josh Groban is amazing. O.O

Something I need to be more thankful for:
*chuckles*  Take out boxes.

My 11:11 wish:
That, somewhere someday, I could have a voice like Josh Groban.

Somewhere I want to be:
An ice skating rink.

Something I’d miss if the Earth were destroyed:
Mah warm bed.

Highlight of the day:
12:00-4:00.  In other words, Sabrina’s birthday party. :)

Some thoughts:
Well I just saw Sabrina for the last time before she heads down to Utah until the end of the summer.  That's a LONG time! O.o  At least in the teenage sense. ;)  I also just recently came into the possession of a Josh Groban album.  Now, though I’m not the biggest fan of slow songs (it’s the fast track for me) Groban’s songs are addicting.  :D

It is kind of amazing.

 January 4, 2013

An applicable song lyric:
“I really can’t stay/But baby it’s cold outside.  I’ve got to go way/But baby it’s cold outside.”

Something making me happy:
Self-confidence.

Something I’ve learned today:
I’m so used to being unique, that when someone else has my name I get disoriented.

Something I need to be more thankful for:
That Mason is not a common name.  ::)

My 11:11 wish:
I wish I had a phone.

Somewhere I want to be:
A place with fast internet.

Something I’d miss if the Earth were destroyed:
Mah “punk” look.  ;)

Some thoughts:
Had fun at a friend Zach’s house at a party he had.  Watching Hunchback of Notre Dame, playing Guitar Hero, powning at Super Smash Bro’s Brawl, and doing multiple party games like Baby if You Love Me and Ninja made for a great night. :)  Only problem was that his younger brother’s name is Mason.  So every time our name was called, both of us responded.  It got confusing after a while. ::)  My brothers came back from Arkansas! :D  Which means Tait finally brought back my leather jacket and aviators.  Not that I’m going to wear them around… After all, I do have a reputation to uphold, and “tough guy” is not it. ;)  Well I’m officially done with my housesitting job (the one with quick internet).  So now that I’m back to our slow Internet connection don’t be surprised if these posts start coming in late or in big bunches.

This is NOT how I usually look.  Just letting you know. ;)

Day by Day: Diurnal Nine

January 3, 2013

 An applicable song lyric:
"You're playing so cool, obeying every rule. Dig way down in your heart you're yearning, yearning for some somebody to tell you that life ain't passing you by.  I'm trying to tell you, it will if you don't even try. You can fly if you'd only cut loose, footloose.  Kick off your Sunday shoes."

Something making me happy:
That rock and roll music isn't against my religion. ;)

Something I've learned today:
There is no doctrine banning men of another color from obtaining the priesthood.  So why then did it take till 1978 to allow it?  I guess only God knows.

Something I need to be more thankful for:
My neighbors.

My 11:11 wish:
I wish I could dance like those guys on Footloose.

Somewhere I want to be:
The 1950's.  The time when a school dance meant swing dancing galore.

Something I'd miss if the Earth were destroyed:
Intellectual conversations.

Highlight of the day:
Conversing with my next door neighbor around his fire pit outside.

Some thoughts:
Well today I studied the driver's handbook with some friends.  Maybe I'll actually take the test one of these days. ;)  Then on the way back from dropping off some borrowed books I saw my LDS neighbor outside trying to get a fire going with wet wood he bought.  So I fetched some of our dry firewood and got talking with him about far ranging subjects from PTSD to Aspergers to homosexuality, to why black people didn't get the priesthood until 1978.  I almost forgot how interesting conversations can be with an adult who has a degree in psychology. ;)

Book: "How much alcohol can you drink before you can't drive?"
Me:  I don't CARE!  I'm MORMON! *headdesk*

Day by Day: Diurnal Eight

 January 2, 1013

An applicable song lyric:
"It's been fun but now I've got to go.  Life is way too short to take it slow.  But before I go and hit the road I got to know, till then, when can we do this again?  When can I see you again?  When can we do this again?  I gotta know, when can I see you again?"

Something making me happy:
My date with Sabrina. :)

Something I've learned today:
The best pictures to take are the ones that cause regular people to stare at you as they walk past. ;)

Something I need to be more thankful for:
My ability to talk comfortably with random strangers.

My 11:11 wish:
That future dates could be this fun.

Somewhere I want to be:
Not outside. ::)

Something I'd miss if the Earth were destroyed:
Embarrassing pictures. (strangely enough ;)

Highlight of the day:
The date!  Obviously. ;)

Some thoughts:
Well there went my first date. :D (proms don't count)  From painting t-shirts to a picture scavenger hunt (which we totally won) to roughhousing with Sabrina's siblings, today was a blast. :)  Can't wait to go on more. ;)

Mah new t-shirt, decorated my Gabe, Abigal, and myself. :D

Day by Day: Diurnal Seven

 January 1, 2013

An applicable song lyric:
"Five-hundred twenty-five thousand six-hundred minutes.  Five-hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear.  Five-hundred twenty-five thousand six-hundred minutes.  How do you measure, measure a year?  In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.  In inches, in miles of laughter and strife.  In five-hundred twenty-five thousand six-hundred minutes, how do you measure a year in the life?"

Something making me happy:
I hit over 70 mph on a snowmachine today. :D

Something I learned today:
Monopoly isn't the only board game I'm ruthless at.

Something I need to be more thankful for:
My mom's ability to make new friends by talking to them.

My 11:11 wish:
That all will go well tomorrow.

Somewhere I want to be:
Cleaning my house.  If I just weren't so darned tired...

Something I would miss if the Earth were destroyed:
Snowmachines.

Highlight of the day:
Heading out on the snowmachine trails in Willow and dominating the world.

Some thoughts:
Today was a perfect start to a new year. :)  Not only did I end up controlling the board during our Risk game, but I also got to snowmachine again, something that I can't seem to get tired of.  Also, I looked at my mom's bowl of salad during dinner and saw a cookie chilling next to the carrots.  Something about that just seemed very ironic.

 The world is mine! Muhahahahaha!
 That's right.  I'm cool.
Irony at it's finest.

Day by Day: Diurnal Six

 December 31, 2012

An applicable song lyric:
"Ring out the old; ring in the new.  Ring, happy bells, across the snow.  The year is going; let him go.  Ring out the false; ring in the true.  The year is going; let him go.  Ring out the false; ring in the true."

Something making me happy:
Little children.

Something I've learned today:
Big dogs are the best snugglers.

Something I need to be more thankful for:
That I haven't lost my inner child quite yet. ;)

My 11:11 wish:
That I stay this popular with little kids.

Somewhere I want to be:
Nursery.

Something I would miss if the Earth were destroyed:
Balloons. (especially pink ones that create static electricity)

Highlight of the day:
The New Year's Eve dinner and subsequent fun afterwards.

Some thoughts:
May I always find joy playing games with young children.  My new year's resolution is to read at least one verse in my scriptures every day for the rest of the year.  I had a very fun night, so be prepared for more pictures than usual. ;)
Is your hair standing up yet?
 I surrender!
 I'm gonna get you!
 En garde!
 Grrr...
Now can you point to the salt?  No that's the prunes...
 Who are you?
